Physical gold you can carry and spend
Goldbacks are the first physical gold currency designed for everyday transactions. Each note contains verified .9999 fine 24-karat gold.
How Goldbacks Are Made
Vacuum Deposition
Each Goldback is produced using a patented process that deposits atomized 24-karat gold between layers of protective polymer. The gold is measured to a precise weight — 1/1000th of a troy ounce for a single Goldback note.
Anti-Counterfeit Security
Every note includes serial numbers, intricate artwork visible at multiple magnifications, and a raised reversed image on the back. These security measures make counterfeiting effectively impossible.
From ¼ to 100
1,000 Goldbacks equal one full troy ounce of .9999 fine gold.
Ten states. Each one a work of art.
Fully legal to own, exchange, and use
Goldbacks hold legal recognition for voluntary circulation in Utah, Nevada, Wyoming, New Hampshire, South Dakota, Florida, and additional states. Over 3,000 merchants accept them at the register.
Because each note holds intrinsic gold value, Goldbacks also function in peer-to-peer and barter transactions worldwide — physical gold with everyday flexibility.
